I am in the process of digitizing old San Fran DJ Mixtapes... remember those? There are (of course) some Come-Unity tapes, as well as related tapes from related DJ's. This takes time and energy so I was wondering if anyone here would be interested in getting copies of these. I was thinking about burning them onto a DVD and trading... or something.
Also, once I am done I will probably sell the actual tapes. As much as I love having them, I can't justify the room they take up anymore.

Re: old-school mixtapes
Thu, November 8, 2007 - 8:58 PMHello,
I know this is old but, I am very interrested in some old mixtapes fro the 90's
I am an old skool visual artist who did alot of shows back then in S.F. and in S.D.
Let me know if the project is underway and or done and we can sure trade or something. I have some older mixes as well...

Re: old-school mixtapes
Tue, May 20, 2008 - 10:17 PMHello DJ Monolith, if that is indeed your real name,
I've also been collecting old SF mixtapes. I'm keen to get copies of anything you've encoded if there is some way you can make them available to me.
In return I can give you access to what I currently have online. Here is a link to a podcast.

You can subscribe to this in itunes or winamp or may be able to access the files through your browser.
My email address is jdarrow@gmail.com
thanks!
